Adult Programs

Fundamentals I

Designed to jump start the martial arts career of the brand new grappler, this class provides a core of movements, techniques, strategies, and concepts that will form the base for learning everything that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, and Mixed Martial Arts have to offer.

With this class students who have less than 6 months of grappling experience are able to progress and learn in a pace set specifically for them. Each class consists of a warm-up, a standing technique, ground skills, and some resistance training.


Fundamentals II

Basics Class

Basics Class

Designed for the Beginner/Intermediate student but still valuable to and attended by grapplers of all levels, this class provides students with a solid foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu theory, strategy, and technique as they apply to self-defense and competition. The stepping stone between the Fundamentals I and Advanced programs.

Advanced Class

A fast paced and more in depth look at Jiu-Jitsu as it applies to competing with increasingly skilled opponents in both the standing and ground phases of combat. Movements from the Fundamentals programs are woven together in succession and students further develop themselves as martial artists by interacting with the most experienced members of the academy.

Heavy focus is placed on flowing movement, drilling transitions and developing an attacking, submission-oriented style of grappling that fits each individual student’s physical and mental attributes. An increased emphasis on extensive live sparring and stand-up grappling allow each individual to challenge themselves progressively as they gain experience. This class an absolute must for anyone interested in taking their skills to the next level.

Women's BJJ Class

Structured to achieve maximum comfort for females interested in pursuing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this class offers a relaxed, non-threatening environment ideal for the beginner or intermediate student to grow and learn quickly under the guidance of experienced and highly-accomplished female instructors.

One of the largest female-only Jiu-Jitsu programs in the country, the women who attend come from all walks of life: students, mothers, business women, military ladies, nurses, etc. You don’t have to be young or fit to start! Our ages currently range from 14 to over 40. Whether you are interested in self defense, fitness, or competition, this class adjusts to meet everyone’s needs.


MMA Grappling

This class covers the tactics and strategies required for maximizing the utility of your grappling skills in real world self-defense and MMA competition.  Attendees must have at least 6 months of grappling experience (BJJ, Judo, and/or wrestling) to participate and a mouthpiece, gloves, and notebook are required. FREE through March 2015

Focuses include proper thought process for application of Jiu-Jitsu in an limited or no-rules context, striking in the standing, clinch, and ground phases, and situational/tactical awareness as they applies to self-defense.  The legal and moral implications of using one’s skills in a real world context are covered, as well. Class is intended to benefit everyone from the beginner to the advanced student, current attendees range in age from 13-45.


Athletic Conditioning

A strength and agility class that is valuable for any level of athlete, in-shape or out, Athletic Conditioning is designed to help you achieve your fitness goals and round out your athletic profile as you work towards a stronger, healthier you. Form is emphasized over speed and each attendee is encouraged to progress at his or her own pace. FREE through March 2015!

Fitness classes can often be difficult to fit in to a busy schedule, so we have structured this class to enable you to get your workout done in 30 minutes.


Open Mat

A moderated free training period where students of all levels may hone the skills they have learned during the week through collaboration with their teammates and coaches.

Students are encouraged to utilize this time to sharpen their weaknesses through extra drilling and sparring matches.
