Northern Virginia’s premier mixed martial arts academy run by UFC Fighter Ryan Hall, offering classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA Kickboxing, Cardio Kickboxing, Submission Grappling, Wrestling, Judo and Mixed Martial Arts for children and adults of all ages and skill levels.

Come train with BJJ World champions, an NCAA D-1 Wrestling All-American, Pro and Amateur MMA fighters and the only active UFC Fighter in the entire DC area! Fifty/50 provides a positive martial arts environment dedicated to offering an accelerated learning program! Adult Programs

BJJ Fundamentals I

Designed to jump start the martial arts career of the brand new grappler, this class provides a core of movements, techniques, strategies, and concepts that will form the base for learning everything that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, and Mixed Martial Arts have to offer.

With this class students who have less than 6 months of grappling experience are able to progress and learn in a pace set specifically for them. Each class consists of a warm-up, a standing technique, ground skills, and some resistance training.


BJJ Fundamentals II

Basics Class

Basics Class

Designed for the Beginner/Intermediate student but still valuable to and attended by grapplers of all levels, this class provides students with a solid foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu theory, strategy, and technique as they apply to self-defense and competition. The stepping stone between the Fundamentals I and Advanced programs.

Classes consist of a warm-up, technical drilling, positional sparring, and free sparring.

Advanced Class

A fast paced and more in depth look at Jiu-Jitsu as it applies to competing with increasingly skilled opponents in both the standing and ground phases of combat. Movements from the Fundamentals programs are woven together in succession and students further develop themselves as martial artists by interacting with the most experienced members of the academy.

Heavy focus is placed on flowing movement, drilling transitions and developing an attacking, submission-oriented style of grappling that fits each individual student’s physical and mental attributes. An increased emphasis on extensive live sparring and stand-up grappling allow each individual to challenge themselves progressively as they gain experience. This class an absolute must for anyone interested in taking their skills to the next level.

Women's BJJ Class

Structured to achieve maximum comfort for females interested in pursuing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, this class offers a relaxed, non-threatening environment ideal for the beginner or intermediate student to grow and learn quickly under the guidance of experienced and highly-accomplished female instructors.

One of the largest female-only Jiu-Jitsu programs in the country, the women who attend come from all walks of life: students, mothers, business women, military ladies, nurses, etc. You don’t have to be young or fit to start! Our ages currently range from 14 to over 40. Whether you are interested in self defense, fitness, or competition, this class adjusts to meet everyone’s needs.


Cardio Kickboxing

Cardio Kickboxing is a martial arts fitness-based class that will primarily involve Taekwondo style kicking and footwork. You will learn proper striking techniques from our high-level instructors, but the emphasis will be on fitness rather than fighting. Come prepared to sweat and get in shape! Classes begin April 3, 2017!

You may bring your own hand wraps and gloves, or they will be available for purchase at the front desk.


MMA Kickboxing

The MMA Kickboxing class will provide an introduction to technical striking based on Taekwondo-style movement and kicks and traditional Boxing. This class is geared towards the beginner or intermediate student and will teach you how to develop balanced movement on your feet while also sharpening technique. In addition, the instructors will also cover striking strategy as it applies to Mixed Martial Arts.

Required Gear: Hand wraps, 16oz Boxing Gloves, Shin/foot Pads. Recommended Gear: Jump Rope and TKD Kick Paddle

*There will be no sparring in this class, although we expect to add Kickboxing classes with sparring in the fall. Please check back in a few months. Thank you for your patience as we grow!

Open Mat

A moderated free training period where students of all levels may hone the skills they have learned during the week through collaboration with their teammates and coaches.

Students are encouraged to utilize this time to sharpen their weaknesses through extra drilling and sparring matches.
