Ryan Hall Seminar, Anthony Cincotta Wins First Superfight

Saturday, November 14th, 2009 @ 3:08 am

Ryan Hall and Anthony Cincotta traveled to Morgantown, WV to do a little teaching and competing. Read on for more information…

11/14/09

The Ground Zero Grappling Championship, a no-points, no-time-limit tournament in Morgantown, West Virginia was the sight of Anthony’s first submission grappling superfight. In spite of feeling a bit under the weather, Anthony put on a strong performance against an experienced opponent, finishing with his signature 50/50 heel hook in less than three minutes. Excellent work and a good momentum builder as he prepares to step up to a new level of competition at the Grapplers Quest Professional tournament coming up in Las Vegas.

The night before the competition, Ryan taught a seminar to a packed house of competitors. Since he focused on the finer points of the triangle choke during his last visit to Morgantown, Ryan covered a footlock attack series that has become one of the staple finishing sequences for the competitors at Fifty/50. We hope it will make a positive impact for the guys in West Virginia.

Thanks again to Don Cunanan of Ground Zero Jiu-Jitsu for bringing us down and we look forward to next time.
