Anthony Cincotta Continues His Winning Ways At NAGA

Saturday, April 4th, 2009 @ 3:28 pm

NAGA World Championship: Anthony Cincotta Wins Expert division, Takes 2nd at Purple Belt

Anthony Cincotta was the lone Fifty/50 member to make the trip up to New Jersey to compete in the NAGA World Championships.

In the no-gi Expert Lightweight division, Anthony won all 4 of his matches, dominating the competition.  He was able to defeat Nova Uniao black belt Fernando Bernardino in the semi-final and submit Peter Shoemaker of Renzo Gracie who had beaten him in the final of the Grapplers Quest Advanced division a month before.

With the no-gi divisions running late Anthony missed his white belt division and then the blue after that, so he jumped into the purple belt class where he would submit his first opponent, beat his second with a takedown, and lose a tough match in the finals.

Keep an eye on Anthony as he continues to develop into a dangerous competitor.
