Fifty/50 made a strong showing today with the two head instructors leading the way by finishing their feature match opponents in a combined four minutes. Seph Smith defeated tough Royce Gracie brown belt Jacob Whitfield with an arm triangle choke only one minute into their match, and Ryan followed up by submitting Wander Braga black belt Rudy “Rudini” Fischmann with an ezekiel choke three minutes into their match after being up on the score cards 7-0.
Not to be outdone, Rich Fitzgerald and Tim Koren went on a tear, winning 7 divisions between the two of them, submitting almost all of their opponents, and surrendering only one loss (to a considerably heavier competitor in the purple belt absolute final) for the day. As a team (of only 2 competitors), Fifty/50 took 3rd place overall in the Team Standings.
