Megan Lomonof Wins IBJJF Miami Open
Megan Lomonof continued her string of recent strong showings at blue belt as she took gold at the IBJJF Miami Open in preparation for next week’s Abu Dhabi World Pro Trials in Queens, NYC.
Megan defeated her first round opponent from the Avengers via triangle choke before taking control of the final by points against Katy Torralbas of Team Lloyd Irvin.
Competition for a plane ticket to the United Arab Emirates next weekend will be fierce, so Megan opted to stay out of the open weight class for the first time in a long time and hit the beach to pick up some well-earned R&R.
Hard work is paying off. Congrats Megan!
