Sothea Nou

Sothea Nou started his martial arts journey at 12 years old after witnessing an older cousin practicing traditional Katas. Immediately, he signed up for a nearby MMA gym that offered Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Boxing and Submission Wrestling. He began to fall in love with the martial arts community and the everlasting pursuit of growth entailed with training and knew deep down he wanted to commit his life to this path.
While studying at Florida State University, he rediscovered his passion for martial arts, training at a gym specializing in ‘Bang’ Muay Thai. Through that connection he has been able to personally work with Sensei Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig and received his Bang Muay Thai purple belt from him. Sothea has also competed in boxing, kickboxing and MMA. He is looking to make a shift to professional MMA soon, currently holding an amateur combat sports record of 7W-3L-2D.
Sothea is currently an assistant instructor in the striking program.
