You may find the following helpful as an out-of-town visitor to our academy, as it includes general information about training at our facility, as well as information about the Falls Church area.

GENERAL INFORMATION

You are free to wear any color gi, with any affiliation patches you wish so long as the kimono is clean and presentable for class. Women are required to wear a rash guard or t-shirt under their kimono.

Men are required to wear athletic/board/grappling shorts during no-gi class. Spats by themselves, or vale tudo shorts will not be permitted in class.

Proper gear (hand wraps/gloves/shin pads) are required for kickboxing class. Mouth guards are required for sparring and head gear is optional. We do not provide loaner equipment. Equipment is available for purchase at the front desk.

Visiting Student Fees are $25 for Open Mat, $50 for an Unlimited One Day Pass, or $150 for an Unlimited Week Pass. Limited Month Passes are available (grappling OR kickboxing program) for $249 a month, or Unlimited Month Passes (eligible to attend any classes) for $350. Military/LEO discounts DO apply to our visiting student fees as well!

The City of Falls Church is a unique and historic city. Besides featuring quick access to renowned museums and art galleries in nearby Washington, D.C., almost every neighborhood is a treasure of its own with a variety of restaurants and shops that reflect the city's great ethnic and cultural diversity. The city is conveniently located just 7 miles from Washington, DC. (City Hall is only nine miles from the White House.) Falls Church is easily accessed by Routes 66 and 50, the East and West Falls Church Metro Stations (Orange Line), and by a number of bus routes.
